Revel (ルベル, Ruberu?), or the Angel of Emotion (感情の天使, Kanjō no Tenshi?), was a first-rank angel. He was one of the thirteen angels who selected Saki Hanakago as his God candidate. Before he was promoted to first-rank, Revel was a second-rank angel known as the Angel of Trickery (策略の天使, Sakuryaku no Tenshi?).

Appearance[]

Revel had an androgynous appearance. He grew bangs with his chunky ear-length hair and secured his white locks using a golden headband. He had upside down wings that came from his hips, a golden halo above his head, and golden frilled marks on his body. His eyes were thin and he had long lashes, making him often look taunting.

Personality[]

Revel was first shown to have a manipulative personality, a trait which he himself had acknowledged might be responsible for his low rank, but by teaming up with Mirai Kakehashi and Nasse, he later showed a more lively, emotive, and somehow kinder personality. He cared for Saki and felt bad for being a second-rank angel, which prevented him from giving her wings. She was also the reason why he hurried to become a first-rank angel.

Due to his compassion for Saki, he shed tears for her when she was determined to help Mirai and Nanato Mukaido despite her inability to fly or actively participate in battle, an unprecedented act by an angel. As a result of his tears and empathy to humans, God then bestowed upon him a first-rank promotion and the ability to give Saki a pair of wings.

Plot[]

On Mirai's first day of school, Revel surprised Mirai and caused him to accidentally reveal himself as a god candidate. After teasing Mirai for a bit, Revel revealed that his god candidate Saki was standing right behind him.

Relationships[]

Saki Hanakago[]

Saki Hanakago is Revel's god candidate. So far, he has been really supportive of her. He used Mirai to protect Saki, concerned about her decision to "sleep" with Mirai and even goes as far as studying really hard to be promoted to first-rank, just to give Saki the wings she needs.
